If I’m Dropped From The New York Drinking Driver Program (DDP) In the Rochester Area, Is It Possible To Get Back In?

If you fail to attend classes, evaluations or treatments, do not pay the required fees, or otherwise do not participate, you will be dropped from the DDP and lose your conditional license.

You may re-enter, but only with a written letter of consent from the program’s director. This letter must be brought to any state or county motor vehicle office, where you will receive further instruction.

There will also be a re-entry fee of $50, payable to the DDP. There is no limit on the number of times you can attempt to re-enter; however, you may only receive a conditional license once.

If you are eligible for the DDP and you opt out, you will have to wait another five years before becoming eligible again.
