Menacing in the Second Degree (NY PL 120.14) in Rochester is a Class A Misdemeanor, characterized by one or more of three provisions in the statute.
As a general proposition, the crime of Menacing means to engage in conduct that would create a reasonable fear or injury or death in a person.
Menacing in the Second Degree defines such acts more specifically:

● Committing the crime of Menacing in the Third Degree (intentionally using physical menace to put a person in fear of imminent physical injury, imminent serious physical injury, or death) in violation of an order of protection.
