In The Rochester Area, Where And When Can I Drive With My New York Conditional License?

A conditional New York license after a DWI allows for driving to work, from work and at any time during the work day that your job requires you to operate a motor vehicle.

You may also drive to and from college or vocational classes, DDP classes, your children’s classes, the DMV, substance abuse treatments, and probationary activities.

You may drive to and from doctor’s appointments for you and family members, as long as you have a signed note from your doctor.If your continued employment or enrollment at any educational institution requires your children to be in daycare, you may drive them there.A conditional license does NOT allow for high school students to drive to and from school.

Once a week you may have an additional period of three consecutive driving hours between the hours of 5 PM and 9 PM.
